UKTV to Relocate Hammersmith Offices to Television Centre by Spring 2027

UKTV is set to move its office base from Hammersmith to Television Centre by spring 2027, following a review of its workspace arrangements.

The broadcaster said the relocation would contribute positively to cost savings across the BBC Group while allowing it to work more closely with colleagues across BBC Studios.

However, UKTV stressed that the move does not represent a structural merger with BBC Studios’ Global Channels and Streaming division.

As part of the relocation, UKTV will have its own designated area within Television Centre, allowing the company to maintain its distinct identity, brand presence and workplace culture.

The move is also expected to strengthen collaboration with other parts of BBC Studios, including its global production operations and BritBox.

UKTV chief executive Sam Tewungwa described the relocation as a positive step for the business.

“This is a positive and natural move for UKTV. As well as contributing to cost savings across the BBC Group, it will support closer collaboration with our BBC Studios colleagues in an inspiring environment with excellent facilities. UKTV will retain its distinct identity, brand presence and highly valued culture,” he said.

The relocation will see UKTV leave its current Hammersmith base for Television Centre, the former home of BBC Television in White City, west London, which continues to house a range of broadcasting and media businesses.
