The Simpsons is set to leave Sky One on Saturday 31 October, with the channel marking the occasion with an afternoon marathon of episodes.
The marathon will give viewers a chance to enjoy a selection of episodes from the much-loved animated comedy before it departs the channel.
First aired in 1989, The Simpsons has become one of television’s most recognisable programmes, following the lives of Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa and Maggie in the fictional town of Springfield.
Despite its departure from Sky One, the series will remain available on E4, ensuring viewers can continue to watch the long-running show on UK television.
Disney+ will also retain first-run rights to new episodes, continuing to serve as the home for the latest instalments of the series.
The change marks the end of The Simpsons’ run on Sky One, but fans will still have options for keeping up with the adventures of Springfield’s most famous family.
