ITV News Granada Reports moves out of studio as refurbishment begins

ITV News Granada Reports has moved into a temporary studio as work begins to revamp its permanent home, paving the way for a new look for one of ITV’s longest-running regional news programmes.

The move will see Granada become the second ITV regional news operation to receive a newly designed studio, following the launch of ITV News West Country’s revamped set in April 2026.

The temporary arrangements will remain in place while refurbishment work is carried out on the programme’s usual studio.

Granada Reports serves viewers across the North West of England, bringing audiences the latest local news, sport and weather on ITV1 and through ITV’s digital platforms.

The new-look studio is expected to give the programme a refreshed on-screen appearance, as ITV continues to update its regional news presentation.

Further details about the design of the new Granada Reports studio, and when it will make its on-screen debut, have yet to be confirmed.
